Moles and Warts Removal In Hyderabad

Moles and Warts Removal

Moles and warts are brownish, pinkish, or flesh-colored skin lumps from an overgrowth of skin tissue. They can be raised or flat, single or multiple, and develop due to excess deposition of melanin in the skin. Moles and warts are known as congenital moles of nevi when occurred at birth and acquired moles when occurred after birth. Moles can be removed for cosmetic purposes, preventing them from degenerating into melanoma. Some warts spread from one body part to another (autoinoculation), while others may clear up spontaneously without the treatment requirement.

Causes of Moles and Warts

Some of the factors that cause moles and warts include –

  • Excessive exposure to the sun to the skin.
  • When cells called melanocytes in the skin grow into knots or clutches, giving rise to an exterior appearance of a mole.
  • HPV – Human Papillomavirus (a viral infection that is contagious and infectious)

Types of Moles & Warts

There are 4 main types of moles –

  • Congenital moles of nevi: These types of moles are present from birth and are Non-cancerous, are usually dome-shaped and arise from the surface skin. It can be removed by the laser when they have a diameter of less than 4mm.
  • Dysplastic nevi: These moles are largely irregularly shaped with the highest risk of transforming into melanoma and can grow into a bigger size and discoloration with time.
  • Spitz nevi: This mole is dome-like shaped with pink discoloration and tends to be filled with pus or bleeding.
  • Acquired nevi: These type of mole appears after birth and is known as acquired nevi. The acquired moles can also be removed surgically, by laser, or by other methods. The process of removing the mole is primarily the same.

  • Excision: The area of the mole is surgically cut out from the skin only after giving the patient anesthesia. Sometimes, owing to the mole’s growth, the practitioner may have to perform stitches which will cause temporary scarring.
  • Shaving: This type of treatment is ideal for small moles where anesthesia is given to the patient, and the mole is shaved out with the help of a scalpel.
